The contemplative spirit emerged in youth and I’ve kept a journal ever since. As an undergraduate at CSU, Chico I wrote an interdisciplinary major in Environmental Literature. The focus of my major was an investigation into the concept of place.

The study of environmentalism and a love of travel unfolded into exploration by bicycle and a series of bike tours through California, Oregon and Washington. The physical and the spiritual meet-up when on a bike tour. There's ample time to contemplate.

Insights led to another inquiry in my heart. Is there a separation between our inner health and the health of our environment? From here I took my journal to a yoga teacher training in Nevada City, Ca, which ended-up opening another can of worms. I spent two years living at Mount Madonna Center in Watsonville, Ca studying yoga, service and community.

It was at a silent weekend retreat at MMC when I met Vanessa Stone and began volunteering with the Amala Foundation as a counselor at the Austin Global Youth Peace Summit. That work took me to four Global Youth Peace Summits and three Peace Walks inside San Quentin prison. I eventually moved to Austin to continue studying energy work with Vanessa Stone. This work is steeped in studying energetic anatomy, bringing balance to our more subtle energies, and restoring innate wisdom and intuition. Practices include hands-on energetic body work, meditative inquiry and contemplative art and writing.

With the foundation of energetic bodywork I went on to get a graduate degree in Traditional Chinese and Integrative Medicine. Advanced studies were in pain management, and acupuncture for recovery. It was here I found an avenue for my personal interest in combining eating disorder/body dysmorphia recovery work with alternative therapies to facilitate the restoration of the soul and encourage lasting balance.

I am currently seeing patients in Santa Barbara, Ca at Points of Health Acupuncture at 1805 E Cabrillo Blvd Suite E, Santa Barbara, CA. As well as Ventura County through home or office visits. Please contact to book directly.
