Hi! I’m Dresden Holden, a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and integrative practitioner with a deep commitment to helping people feel balanced, resilient, and well at every stage of life. My work blends classical East Asian medicine with modern functional health, allowing me to look at the whole picture: hormones, digestion, stress, inflammation, sleep, mood, and the structural patterns that shape how we move and feel every day.
Over the years, I’ve trained extensively, and had first hand experience healing in systems that support women’s health and whole-body regulation. This includes endocrine and adrenal health, gut function, and reproductive/hormonal wellness. I have personally utilized and supported patients with ordering and interpreting functional labs to help uncover underlying imbalances and guide personalized care.
Specialized Training
MAMPS: Maternity Acupuncture Mentorship
I completed advanced learning in Maternity Acupuncture offering a specialized acupuncture system for pregnancy, birth preparation, and postpartum care.
ScarWork by Sharon Wheeler & Torrey Trover
I also offer ScarWork, a subtle and effective manual therapy that restores mobility, sensation, and tissue integrity after surgery or injury. It’s especially helpful after cesarean birth, abdominal or orthopedic surgeries, laparoscopy, or injuries that have created long-term restrictions.
How I Work
I combine acupuncture with a range of supportive therapies — cupping, gua sha, herbal medicine, infrared heat, moxibustion, and bodywork to help guide the body back into balance. Whether you’re navigating chronic symptoms, recovering from injury, moving through hormonal transitions, or preparing for birth, my approach is collaborative and complimentary.
I believe deeply in patient advocacy. If something in your body doesn’t feel right, you deserve to be heard, supported, and guided toward the right answers. My focus is helping you feel informed, empowered, and fully cared for.
A little more about me
Since youth, my interests have included the outdoors, poetry writing and journaling, which then led to an undergraduate degree in environmental literature, yoga teacher trainings, vipasana retreats and a couple years living at Mount Madonna Center, a yoga and retreat center located in the southern Santa Cruz mountains.
The study of yoga led to studies in Ayurveda and research into works by Dr. Vasant Lad and Dr. Douillard. It was at a silent weekend retreat at Mount Madonna Center where I met Vanessa Stone and began volunteering with the Amala Foundation. I eventually moved to Austin to continue studying energywork with Vanessa Stone through a series of apprenticeships that included understanding energetic anatomy, bodywork as well as meditation and contemplative art and writing.
With this foundation I went on to pursue a graduate degree in Traditional Asian and Integrative Medicine at AOMA Graduate School for Integrative Medicine in Austin, Texas. Advanced studies have included maternity acupuncture, orthopedics and fertility.
In November 2023, I was diagnosed with advanced Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma and had a full removal of the thyroid gland. As a result I have been on a journey learning all about integrative thyroid health and how it relates to gut health, adrenal health and hormone health.
Lastly, informed from my herbal and acupuncture practice, energetic bodywork studies and personal healing journey is Dresden Body + Wellness, a curated line of natural skincare products. Potent simplicity, these products are pure skin and soul food meant to balance and restore the skin barrier.
